I can't believe it's March already! It seems like we were just celebrating Valentine's Day last week! The days have been flying by and I can't say I'm mad about it. Spring is right around the corner which always puts me in the mind of new beginnings. The flowers begin to come to life and everything seems new.
I don't know about you, but I can see the same thing happening in my life. There are some areas in my life that have been dead for some time now, but I feel things changing as we approach this new season. Something new is taking place and I'm excited about it! God is beginning to resurrect some things that I almost gave up on. He's allowing me to see just how strategic He is when it comes to answering the prayers of His children.
There are a few things I have been waiting on God to do in my life, but the one that is most dearest to my heart is finding true love. For years, I have prayed for God to send me a mate, but it seemed like I was invisible when it came to men. They wouldn't even look my way! LOL Well, I'm here to tell you, God is doing a new thing in my life this year! Last weekend, I went on my first date in almost 4 years!
Now, for those of you that have also been experiencing a drought like myself, you can appreciate the significance of this. Not only that, but men are now beginning to recognize I even exist. (Go Team Go!) I feel like a butterfly that has broken out of it's cocoon, finally spreading it's wings to fly for the first time in a long time. It's a wonderful feeling to finally take this first step to meet new people in hopes of eventually embracing true love. God is so awesome!
Looking back on my time of seclusion, I understand why God had to hide me away for awhile. During my season of aloneness, God was preparing me to become the woman I needed to be for this next season of my life. He was equipping me with tools so I could handle the challenges that are now coming my way. He had to teach me to hear His voice so I would know who to allow into my life and who to run from. He revealed His vision for my life, so I can hopefully make the right decision when it comes to choosing my husband.
Today, I am one step closer to the manifestation of God's promises for my life. For those that are in the same place, let me encourage you to stay prayerful. Just because someone comes your way doesn't mean they are meant to be in your life. Make sure you ask God to reveal to you that person's heart and their motives. I have done it and seen God move people with a quickness, even those I thought would be great for me.
I leave you with these words of wisdom from Proverbs 3:5-6:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall directa]'>[a] your paths.
I'm excited for all my singles that are embarking on something new! I pray that God will continue to guide you and in due season you will receive the desires of your heart! Be Blessed!
